Two chamber systemThe MultiLab ESCA 2000 is a two chamber design comprising the ESCA chamber and a fast entry air lock.  Several versions of the fast entry air lock are available including the option of a high pressure gas cell, or a rotary distribution chamber that can be fitted with a separate load lock and pump.

Sample handlingThe integrated sample handling using a unique rotary transfer mechanism allows samples to be transferred between techniques without exposing them to the atmosphere.From the UHV distribution chamber the samples can be taken directly to the surface analysis position or a sample preparation station. The instrument uses a common sample holder which can travel throughout the system.
