BDS2000 Remote Activated High Pressure Blowdown
The BDS2000 is specifically designed to clean out Air/Gas Pitot Averaging Flow Sensor meters used in processes with heavy particulate loading. This system offers the end user an economical and efficient method of maintaining the process under adverse conditions.
Thermo Scientifict's BDS2000 Remote Activated High Pressure Blowdown System is specifically designed to clean out Air/Gas Pitot Averaging Flow Sensor meters used in processes with heavy particulate loading. The BDS2000 Series offers the end user an economical and efficient method of maintaining the process under adverse conditions.

The BDS2000 Series is activated by a pulse signal (DC voltage) fro a DCS or other controller. Once activated, a micro PLC takes over the blowdown sequence providing a "High Pressure Purge Blast" through the pitot array to clear the ports of particulate while isolating the DP Transmitter.

  • Provides a High Pressure Purge Blast through a pitot array to clear ports of particulate. Total Cycle time is approximately 45 seconds.
  • Activated by a pulse signal from a DCS or controller.
  • Isolates the DP Transmitter from the purge blast. DCS must hold last signal to insure constant process control.
  • Can be used in conjunction with Thermo's "Continuous Purging" DP Transmitters or any electronic DP transmitter.
  • NEMA4X Enclosure. 
  • 80-120 PSIG Supply Air Required.
  • Easy to install and operate.
  • Low Cost.
