Audible Count Rate Drawer
The Audible Count Rate Drawer is designed to fit into your existing 19" racks and has a selectable input from up to four source range channels and sounds a tone at regular intervals. Plant personnel can monitor changes in the neutron count rate in the containment building, the control room, or other remote locations, without having to read a meter.
The Audible Count Rate Drawer is an aid to operator safety. A tone sounds at regular intervals proportional to the rate of the incoming pulse train.

Thermo Scientific Audible Count Rate / Timer-Scaler drawer provides an audible sound corresponding to a source range start-up output along with a Timer-Scaler to provide details of that count rate. A switch on the front panel allows you to select audio from any of the source range channels (up to four). Another switch allows you to divide the signal by 1, 10, 100 or 10000 in order to hear individual tones at any shut down count rate. There is also a volume control on the front panel for an internal speaker as well as separate controls for an external speaker. The timer-scaler provides verification of the shut down count rate selectable to any of the source range channels.

The audible count rate/timer-scaler drawer is considered non-class 1E. However, it has been qualified not to damage adjacent class 1E equipment during a seismic event.
