Power Range Neutron Flux Monitoring System
The Thermo Scientific Power Range Channel provides a linear measurement of the average neutron flux calibrated in percent power. It also provides an absolute measurement of the flux at both the upper and lower detectors and calculates the axial offset factor.
The Thermo Scientific Power Range Channel provides reliable neutron flux measurement from 0% to 200% reactor power. It can accept a nominal detector current value range of 8uA to 2mA at 200% power. We have supplied both dual (upper and lower) Uncompensated Ion Chamber (UIC) and dual Guarded Fission Chamber-based Power Range Detector Assemblies.  We have also supplied three section (upper, middle, and lower) Guarded Fission Chamber Safety Channel Detector Assemblies. Our systems use multiple-section detector assemblies and are completely qualified for 1E Safety-Related applications.
